Bit of Paradise on Earth

Villa Dawn provided the perfect house for our three couple, family celebration. Two large en-suite master bedrooms with a third, fully furnished apartment below; huge, overstocked kitchen, gorgeous pool and deck with sunset views; 5-minute walk to beach and dining sites and a 30-minute (max) car ride to all the island has to offer. We could not be happier with our decision to live a week a Villa Dawn.

Villa Dawn has truly magnificent views, and modest walk to beautiful Cane Bay beach. There are beach bars and a fine dining restaurant nearby. The private pool is a welcome respite from the heat. The top living space has 3 bedrooms with ceiling fans (2 king bedrooms and 1 queen) and 2 full bathrooms. There's also a lower level apartment only accessible from the exterior with a king bed (no ceiling fan), twin daybed, kitchenette and full bathroom. The upstairs kitchen is very well-equipped, with a good variety of spices.

We adored eating at the dining table looking out over the sea. I would bet with winds and a slightly cooler temperature, that covered back porch with full-size gas grill would be an absolutely wonderful al fresco dining option. You may still need bug spray, but it would be totally worth it.

The owners were quick to respond to all of our communications and addressed issues just as speedily. Seating & bed updates would make the home more comfortable.

Leaving was hard.

Amazing Family Vacation

We loved everything about villa dawn especially how it was walking distance to the beach. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave and saw the villa was open for the next week. Unfortunately my daughter’s mom wouldn’t let us stay for an additional week. We hope to visit villa dawn again.

Great Family Vacation Home

We stayed at Villa Dawn in June and absolutely loved the property and location to the beach. The grounds were beautiful, the house was very clean with a well stocked kitchen and the pool and view were amazing. We loved drinking coffee every morning on the covered porch enjoying the beautiful view of the Caribbean Ocean. The reservation process and communication with property managers was very easy. I would highly recommend this property.

Sunset Solitude

Outstanding location for an evening sunset view! The property is very quite and peaceful during both day and night. A short walk down the road to Cane Bay Beach offers a great convenience to enjoy the beautiful beach without the hassle of driving and parking. The pool and outdoor space offer a great great view of the ocean, sunset, and stars. The house generator is a great utility which kept the air conditioning running, as we lost grid power once during the night.

Location is perfect

We had a wonderful time. Kent was great to work with. The kitchen was spacious and the two rooms with the king beds were large. The apartment was smaller than what we pictured but still worked for us. The pool was beautiful Location was so convenient. We could walk down to the restaurants or beach for snorkeling. Easy drive to town to grab groceries or go on an adventure. Mosquitoes did come out at night so bring some spray. Nothing beat having coffee with the sunrise and wine with the sunset. We would come back.

Fantastic view

We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and also at the pool where there was just enough sun and shade to suite each of us. The kitchen was well equiped. We used the two en suite bedroom/ bathrooms in the main house, as well as the small apartment downstairs for our daughter. We all found our stays quite lovely and convenient for walks down to the beach and restaurants.

This is it!

The lights went out one evening as we were sitting on the veranda and we immediately placed bets on how long the power would be out and how were going to make dinner. 20 seconds later the emergency generator kicked in and the lights came back on. I only mention this to point out that Villa Dawn has everything. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make any dinner you want so it's an easy decision to stay in for dinner and enjoy the sunset from the veranda. Food tip: Drive north on Northshore Rd along the coast. Just past the Pitstop gas station you will see a tarp off to the right. Ask for Fred. Lobsters ... Villa Dawn even has Lobsters. After lobsters there isn't much more I can add. This place was great for our 3 couples and that can be hard to find. You won't be sorry if you go.

You can’t beat the view from this place! You instantly feel like you’re in paradise. We enjoyed the front deck and the pool very much. The place was clean & kitchen well stocked. We made dinner every night we were there. We would definitely stay at Villa Dawn again!

Villa Dawn provided a fantastic view of STX's North Shore. The location is ideal for walking to a beach area (Cane Bay) or enjoying multiple nearby eateries. The Villa had a well-appointed kitchen, fun pool area, and wonderful covered porch where one can enjoy beverages or meals in open-air...while enjoying the incredible Caribbean views toward St. Thomas and St. John. For some, the driveway approaching the Villa could be considered tricky/intimidating due to standard STX road conditions (so be prepared for a bumpy ride...although, it did not bother us). Also, parking at the Villa can be tricky, but easily accomplished with pre-planning if there are more than one vehicle in your party. The remaining living areas of the Villa has everything one needs; although dated, certainly accommodating. Kent was responsive to any inquiries we had in a timely manner.

This was our first time at Villa Dawn in St. Croix and the house met all our needs for 5 people but could have fit many more. The deck and pool have great views and are perfect for all your outdoor needs with plenty of space for all. We enjoyed having the pool to cool off and lounge around. The kitchen is big and well stocked with dishes and spices! The convenience to the beach and a few restaurants are nice especially if you have several people in your group who are doing different activities. Cane Bay is centrally located on the island and you can easily drive to either end of the island in 25 minutes. I would recommend renting a jeep for an optimal experience. We would definitely rent this house again and Kent was attentive and easy to work with.

Stayed 8 days May 2022 and 4 of which the AC didn’t work. Inside the house was 85 degrees. Owner has known about this issue for longtime. AC guy said owner doesn’t want to buy new unit. Housekeeping said owner wouldn’t pay for deep cleaning. Lots dust, cobwebs in windows. I have pics to prove. Owner didn’t offer any discounts for inconvenience having hot nights. Also owner monitors thermostat via web and will tact on extra $200 if you turn it down below 74 degrees. One other thing is you have to back down a long narrow drive way with no real place to turn around. Besides having ants, spiders, and bird crapping on deck. I will not be back to this house. Save your money for another house.

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at Villa Dawn and found that the villa did not meet with your expectations. While there was an issue with the A/C during your stay, we did have our A/C technician at the house several times to resolve the intermittent problem. It was ultimately resolved as quickly as was possible. You comment that "Owner has known about this issue for longtime". Where exactly did you get this information? As can be clearly seen in all of our other reviews, including a 5 star review from a guest that checked out just 4 days prior to your stay, we take great care of Villa Dawn and we always resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Our staff takes great pride in maintaining the villa. In fact, we just paid our caretaker $450 for a thorough cleaning of all the windows, screens and frames just this past May 2022. If I could post an image of the receipt I would. I was just at the villa from June 4-11, and the villa was in great shape. While I was there we put in all new stainless appliances, even though the white ones that were there were only a few years old as well as a new washing machine.

I was very proactive with the problem you experienced with the A/C during part of your stay, and I acted immediately to have the problem resolved. I also mentioned to you that the lower level suite, which is a separate, 1 bedroom apartment that sleeps 4, was available for you to use if it got too uncomfortable. The A/C in the lower level suite was working great during your entire stay. The A/C problem on the main level was resolved during your stay.

You never mentioned to me that you were having trouble backing down our driveway or I would have told you that you can just pull around the front of the villa and easily turn around there.

We have 67 reviews of the villa on Vrbo with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. There are many, many current reviews of the villa that are all 5 star reviews. I am sorry you felt so differently than our other past guests.

You never contacted us about wanting a refund for your inconvenience with the A/C. If you felt a refund was in order you could have just contacted us and we would have been more than happy to work with you. You didn't need to leave a review that totally misrepresents the villa.

our first time on St Croix and we stayed at Villa Dawn. Great location and the view was awesome. the main property worked well for our group. Bedrooms and bathrooms very large. Kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed. Was surprised we we arrived that there were lots of condiments and spices in the fridge. There was also some other items that were still within the date range. The .covered porch was where we spent most of our time. Coffee and tea in the morning. with the beautiful view. The pool was nice to relax and cool off. We added the downstairs unit after other friends wanted to join us. the unit is a nice size but it was very warm down there even with the air conditioner and fans. The pool chairs should soon be replaced as there are about half that are broken, But I would recommend Villa Dawn as a rental. The location was about halfway between the two towns and the Landing beach bar was within walking distance.

The home and ocean views off the back are fantastic. The pool was the perfect temperature. The home was easy to get to. Great location near Cane Bay and 3 restaurants (easy 5 min walk). The couple minor issues we had during our stay were handled right away. Communication with Kent was easy and very quick. I would definitely recommend this home if you plan to visit St Croix!

Villa Dawn is the ultimate vacation spot - a beautiful porch and pool with views that amazed us every day. It was walking distance to several restaurants, the beach, and even hikes up the mountain behind us. It was very private, and you will definitely need a car for grocery store trips. The kitchen was very well outfitted, some of the furnishings were a little dated. Overall we were thrilled to be there and enjoyed every minute!

We had a great week at the Villa Dawn. The location was great as was the property. The view was great no matter what time of day. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the get some leave some with spices etc. We LOVED the fact that we had a gas stove with actual non stick pans. A great place to relax!

Villa Dawn has beautiful views of the ocean. The owner is super nice and informative. Be sure to print out the paperwork as it was next to impossible to read on a cell phone screen.

If there wasn't so many great tourist attractions I could see my self keeping to the villa for a relaxing time. I only wish a portion of the back deck was surrounded by mosquito netting as they feasted on a few of us relentlessly.

Right up the hill from Cane Bay Beach and the wall dive there. Dive shop right there for tanks. House is super comfortable for the right number of guests. Even though listing claims up to a dozen guests allowed I couldn't see that unless maybe 3 couples with some little kids. 3rd bedroom upstairs has no access to a bathroom, both bathrooms are in the 2 king bedrooms, so could be tough even having 3 couples upstairs. Lower suite by itself with no access to upstairs without going outside. Perfect for up to 3 couples all together. I'd go back there in that scenario in a heartbeat. Love the pool, the giant patio, and the great large kitchen. We ate most of our meals right at the house! So beautiful with the yard and killer views. It's a great deal for 6 guests splitting the cost. Loved it!

There is no better place to stay on St. Croix. Of our 3 times on the island we have stayed here twice, and we won't go anywhere else again. You can literally walk to the beach and restaurants, the pool is divine ... plenty of room to spread out. We couldn't not find enough nice things to say. Viva Villa Dawn!

Property is great. Pool is perfect temperature. Deck provided sunsets that will stay with us for years. Quiet area and location of property on the island is perfect. If you’re looking for a getaway for your family, this house will provide all you need. Got stuck inside one day due to a storm and used the tv and such... needs an upgrade, but we weren’t there for the electronics.

This house is amazing in everyway. The views from the house are amazing and the pictures don't do them justice. The house is about a 2 min walk down a private driveway which is across from a public beach with great snorkeling. It is also within walking distance of several restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked, linens, beach towels, beach chairs and sand toys were provided. After touring the island for the week I didn't see another resort/hotel that I would have rather stayed at. If I got back to St Croix I would definitely book this rental again.

We booked Villa Dawn at the very last minute for a family beach trip to get away from the snow and ice in Louisiana! Our family of 4 adults and two kids, 4 years old and 1 year old had the best time on the Island.

The villa was just what we needed for our group two nice sized bedrooms with en suite baths and a third room for the kids. A very well equipped kitchen made cooking very easy although we did little of that as some good

eateries were just a short walk down the hill. Kent was very thorough with his communication and details regarding policy and procedures so no one would be confused. Every thing you might need for the beach was provided

including several ice chests and chairs. One very nice feature of the Villa was a large generator that came on automatically when we lost power one day. The Villa is in a great spot on the quiet side of the island so you will need a car to get anywhere but don't stress over the wrong side driving as it is very laid back on the island and driving is a breeze. Hanging out on the back deck or relaxing by the pool listening to the peacocks, the time you spend at Villa Dawn will be just the right amount of relaxation you need.

This house was great for our family vacation with our 3 young kids. The owners are very responsive and helpful. Here is our list of things we loved and a few suggestions:

Things we loved:

-Location - It is right in the middle so you could go Cane Bay if you wanted a close beach with great snorkeling but also easy to get to both the East and West end beaches. Our favorite kid friendly beaches were Rainbow Beach and Buccaneer Beach. Sandy Point is only open on weekends and while it had big waves is very pretty.

- Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could ever need

- It was great to have 2 king beds as our boys shared a bed.

-Everything was well maintained.

-Great to have a washer and dryer

-Beach chairs, boogie board, and coolers were provided

Cons

-St.Croix has limited water and this house has very limited hot water. We could not take longer than a 5 minute shower and then would have to wait 30 minutes for the next person to shower or give our kids a bath. It wasn't the end of the world and we made it work. Maybe it is by design so people use less water.

-The pool is very nice and clean but very COLD. Our kids would last about 10 minutes before they were shivering and ready to get out. Maybe a solar cover could help without costing a fortune.

Overall it was a great stay and memories we will cherish forever with our 3 kids.

Villa Dawn and St. Croix were the perfect vacation spot for us. Situated in Cane Bay is a good location to most that St. Croix has to offer. The views of the Bay from the veranda were amazing and we spent as much time as we could out there. The kitchen is fully stock with every kitchen appliance and gadget and utensils that you could possibly need. The rooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Full size washer and dryer was a huge plus. Even though there are 2 bathrooms, one person at a time to take a shower as the hot water does run out. There were family board games and plenty of books and some movies to keep one busy in the house at night. However, there is so much to do in St. Croix that we didn't spend too much time in the house. Several hikes to do: Ham's Bluff, Goat Hill, Issac's and Jack's Bay, and The Carambala Tidal Pools. We ate at The Landing on Cane Bay (a short walk from the house), The Mill Boardwalk (in Christiansted), La Reine Chicken Shack are definite highlights. SCUBA diving with Sweet Bottom Dive Center (also in Cane Bay, walking distance) was great. Also Cruzan Cowgirls does a cool horse riding experience into the sea (try and go at 4pm for sunset). Last but not least is a sailboat ride to Buck's Island! This house allowed us to have an incredible time in St. Croix.

Place was amazing...You can beat the views or location! The listing and pics were current. Communication was great... The washer went out during our stay and the host got it fixed ASAP which is tough to do on the island with limited resources! Will definitely stay again and would recommend the house for those seeking a relaxing stay with everything you need for relaxing vacation... When you are over the pool or the beach you can swap to the other within minutes :)

Great view and location in Cane Bay. The villa was well stocked with all amenities. We had 7 people in our party and the house was a perfect size. The AC was a little disappointing but at least it was available. Just not very cool at night even with the fans going. Would recommend key code locks instead of having to keep up with keys but that's the only recommendations that I would have.

I'm sorry that you didn't feel cool enough from the central A/C. We do monitor the interior temperature of the villa via a Wifi thermostat, and didn't get an alert that it was unusually warm. Generally, our guests set it at 74-76 degrees and find that comfortable.

We have considered key code locks, but with the harsh climate of the tropics we are concerned about reliability of them. So, we stick with "old school" keys :)

We've stayed on St Croix many times but first time at Villa Dawn as we now had 10 family members. Excellent location, amazing views, spacious home for our 10 people, and terrific amenities are a few of the highlights of this rental. Everything was well thought out as the kitchen, living room, deck and pool areas all had comfortable seating and tables for everyone. Very clean and well tended property where you feel 'at home'. The owners are very responsive to questions and helpful it many vacation ideas. A terrific find and highly recommend Villa Dawn!

We have stayed here probably 10 or so years. This is the ONLY place we stay when coming to St Croix. We like to come once per year. The house is well equipped, we cook many meals in the house and have never not had something we needed. Beds are comfortable and the pool and view are lovely. Owners are extremely responsive. You can walk to Cane Bay Beach and we of course love to eat at Off the Wall and "Eat @ Cane Bay" (also within walking distance). I cannot say enough great things about this house and the owners.

All was good, the house had a home feel. The location was a bit of a terrain to get to, but once we discovered the alternative route it wasn’t so bad to get to Christiansted and the East side of the Island. It was clean and had central air. Overall a very nice place to stay in STX.

Wonderful location. Short walk down the hill to the beach, three restaurants (2 and 1 beach shack) all of which have great food.

We were 2 couples and only used upstairs and used the 2 ensuite rooms. Both were great. The third upstairs bedroom would need to use one of the two ensuite rooms bathroom so great for kids in the thrid room but it wouldn't work well for a third couples.

Downstairs is a complete one bedroom appartment with a small kithcen, living roonm, bedroom and shower.

Kitchen upstairs is fully kitted out with everything you wanted. Only thing missing was a kettle as we are tea drinkers (so we bought one at K-Mart and left it there, so it shouldn't be a problem any more).

Pool area is large and has a wonderful view over the caribbean sea. Large covered deck when you need to get out of the sun.

Wonderful place, would definitely go back.

Well-maintained property overlooking Cane Bay...a very short walk down the hill and you're at the beach. Villa is extremely well-stocked and clean. We really enjoyed the big covered porch area, too. You're likely to spot the occasional deer and mongoose near the property. You really don't need to do anything here other than show up -- they have everything, including beach chairs and towels, etc. Note that, despite the beach bars and restaurants along the bay, this is a generally quiet area (which we appreciated). It takes about 20 minutes to get to Christiansted from here.

Villa Dawn and the Cane Bay Area had evening and more. The location is centralized between the towns of Frederiksted and Christiansted. The outdoor space at Villa Dawn is incredible. The pool, veranda, and views are amazing. The property has plenty of privacy. The neighbors seem to be mostly owners. The Caribbean Sea and Cane Bay Beach is a short distance away. You can hear the waves from the pool and veranda. To be in the Caribbean and on the beach is a real treat. It’s fun to watch the divers, teams of swimmers and the people snorkeling. Their are 3 nice beach bar restaurants close with great food and music. We enjoy the small shops in the two towns and finding good restaurants around the Island. A must do is to take a ride to Udal Point which is the most eastern point of the US. The stone sun dowel monument is cool but the views are the best on the Island. I was there less than a week ago and I already miss it. I watch the live webcam from Eat@CaneBay daily. Villa Dawn is also very nice inside. Very spacious, nice bedrooms and baths. The owners are very nice. We celebrated my 60th birthday and Valentines Day on the Island. It was the best. I am hooked on St.Croix, Cane Bay, and Villa Dawn. Can’t wait to go back. I don't usually leave reviews, but this one is a must. Villa Dawn truly is a great escape if you want to get away... The view is absolutely incredible, the pool is sweet, the rooms are all spacious and gives you the privacy you want to have on vacation if you're sharing the house with others. It was very easy being at Villa Dawn and not wanting to leave, at all. The house does a great job of making you want to be right outside in the hammock or the pool laying out during the day before coming back in to relax and hang out for the night inside. Great place to stay, if I am ever back in St Croix I'll definitely be reaching out to stay here again.

We had a large group of 13 and it was perfect for us! The house was clean and stocked with lots of everyday use items from spices and coffee filters to pool and beach essentials to books and board games! The location could not have been better...walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I will caution you that if you’ve spent the day enjoying ALL that the area has to offer (wink, wink), the walk back up is a little challenging...ha ha! Centrally located between Frederiksted and Christiansted and although there are neighbors, it feels nicely secluded and very private. The views from the pool and deck are amazing and Kent was very responsive and helpful with my many, many questions! I highly recommend Villa Dawn for your large or small group...you will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend sailing and snorkeling with Captain Carl and Kaylie with Tamarack Excursions. Food and service in all restaurants was exceptional. Pizza at Off the Wall was the best.

Stayed at Villa Dawn with my girlfriends for a birthday celebration - and I can't say enough good things about this property.

Communication with Kent and Dawn was great - they responded quickly to email and phone messages, and key exchange was seamless. When we arrived the property was clean.

The location of the villa is spectacular - the pool deck is situated so it gets sun all day, and you can look from your chair over the tree tops to the beautiful waters of Cane Bay. The pictures do not do it justice - the sea is much closer to the property and you can hear the waves and see the swimmers, snorkelers and divers clearly from the pool deck. There is a large covered patio to get out of the sun and still be outdoors. I would highly recommend getting a massage on the patio - it was amazing. (Beach Massage and Bodywork Delivered).

A short walk down the hill and you are on Cane Bay- great snorkeling right there - bring your snorkel gear! Also walking distance to Eat at Cane Bay, Off the Wall and Waves restaurant. We were able to go for long walks on the road - everyone drives pretty slow and was accommodating to us. The house is well equipped with coolers, beach chairs and towels to enjoy all the St Croix beaches.

The kitchen was large and very well equipped - everything you need to cook pretty much anything. They even had bug spray and flashlights to walk down the hill at night. The bedrooms were large - 2 had king beds with ensuite baths, one with a queen - and the separate basement space had a queen bed, daybed and full bath and small kitchen.

We have been to St Croix 3 times - this location and property were by far the best.

I surprised my wife by flying out the children and grandchildren for her birthday. Villa Dawn was perfect even though we did not have Wi-Fi, cable TV or cell service (still off from the hurricane). We went old school at night playing board games and watching VHS movies. Pool was great and porch was perfect for visiting, cocktails and views of the Bay. Well stocked kitchen. If you had AT&T, you would have had cell service at the villa. Besides the local phone company, AT&T is the only cell provider with decent service on the island..before and after the storm. It took us over 4 months to get our power back after the September hurricane, the communications company is following. They had to wait for all the new poles to be put in place and power restored by the power company. I think that you will agree that the island looks great...nice and green and lush. In another month or two, the hurricane from last September will be just a memory. We hope you will choose to visit St Croix again and stay at Villa Dawn!

This was the perfect house for my entire family to come for a once in a lifetime experience! The views from the deck and pool area are to die for. There was nothing like being able to take a 5 minute walk down the driveway and across the street to swim and snorkel to my hearts content. Bring your own gear and it is free or if you don't have any the dive shop is directly across the street and are very reasonably priced. Kent was very helpful with every question or concern we had! Only recommendation is to put up some kind of blinds in kitchen area because when sun is setting ( which is gorgeous) It gets pretty hot in the kitchen. That is not a complaint just a recommendation because being able to look out and see the mountains beyond the sea was breathtaking!

Six adults stayed at this wonderful place last week. The home has everything you can possible need. The owners also recommend places to shop for groceries, places to eat, and places you must see. They are very responsive should you have any questions. The views are breathtaking. You can walk to the beach, although a bit of a walk. I can't think of any reason why someone wouldn't stay here if they are going to St. Croix.

The walk from the door of the villa to the beginning of the beach is just 380 yards, with most of that going down our driveway and past our property. We wind up taking a car down to the beach most of the time because we want a cooler, snorkel gear, beach chairs and an umbrella with us...all of which we have at the villa! :) Now, depending how much you have to drink at at one of the beach bars, the walk back to the villa can become more interesting! LOL! ;)

It is a nice place to go on vacation. You are in the middle of the island so it is easy to get to both towns on each end of the island. Their was a grill which was nice for eating dinner in some evenings. It would be a wonderful place to take your family and have quality time in the pool as well as beautiful excursions close by. The beach was close and then their were many other beaches close to go to. I would recommend it for a relaxing vacation for a family. Great place to make memories with a beautiful view. The owners were very professional and very nice. Very Friendly and they let you know if you needed anything you could call them and they would do their best to get the issue resolved immediately.

We spent a lot of time in the pool, just steps outside this lovely and comfortable home. The owners had provided us a wealth of information before we arrived, much appreciated in helping us buy groceries and find our way from the airport and get settled in. The view is spectacular and we spent many hours sitting on the covered porch enjoying it. We also enjoyed several good, small, friendly restaurants nearby and did some cooking in the amazingly well equipped kitchen. We were initially a little disappointed in Cane Bay Beach after previous stays on St Thomas and St John where there are more spectacular beaches, but the proximity of Cane Bay Beach to the house makes up for it. The owners of Villa Dawn go above and beyond to make sure every need is met and are a pleasure to work with. I hope to rent this house again and stay longer.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Dawn! While there are some beaches on St Croix that rival any on St. Thomas and St. John, they are protected and have no houses or hotels on them. Sandy Point, which is a National Wildlife Refuge and Turtle nesting zone, is one of them. It is literally miles of spectacular white sand beach. If it were anywhere else in the Caribbean, it would be lined with large hotels and condos. On St. Croix, it is protected from development. Cane Bay is a smaller beach than some, but is great for swimming, snorkeling and SCUBA diving. It is also in a beautiful location and just a short walk from the villa. Like you said, the proximity of the beach to Villa Dawn makes up for it's smaller size!

We do hope that you return to Villa Dawn. We make it a point to upgrade something at the house each year!

My husband and I just returned from a one week vacation in St Croix, and we just loved this house. It's location is central on the island so we could do a lot of exploring on the island. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bed was super comfortable. But our favorite thing about the house was the pool. The temperature was perfect. The view was incredible and it was completely private. Neither one of us wanted to leave at the end of the week.

We decided to have our company annual business meeting at VD. Best decision ever! Plenty of room for all the board members and who could beat the BOD meeting on the deck. We had an amazing time on St. Croix and the best part was Villa Dawn! The home couldn't be in a better location, it really is 5 minutes to the dive shop and Eat at Cane Bay and 4 Minutes to Off the Wall, both food and fun are within easy walking distance. Kent and Dawn are great to work with and very responsive if any situation arises. The home is well stocked, (I think we added a few items for your next guests), and the view is stunning! Sitting on the bar stools in the pool every evening with your favorite beverage watching the sunset over the bay is a magical time, and having pool-safe drink ware (even martini glasses!) made it easy and carefree. The beds are truly comfortable, and the sound of the ocean waves lull you to sleep each night. Even when it rains, (only for a few minutes), the covered deck is expansive and became our favorite night-time hangout after our daily pool swim. An incredible Weber gas grill is also under the deck, we put it to good use with fresh seafood when we felt like cooking at home. Make sure to try the Duck Chili at Eat at Cane Bay, the Pizza at Off the Wall, and anything on the menu at Rowdy Joe's is incredible. With the great folks at the Cane Bay Dive Shop minutes away just drop off your gear with them and schedule a few dives without the hassle of carrying everything back and forth. Ellen, Graham, and I can't thank you enough for making your home available to us for our vacation, I hope we respected it enough to be allowed back for another stay!

We couldn't have asked for more! The house is equipped with all the accessories you need from snorkel gear to bikes to kitchen accessories to spices. We truly enjoyed our time at the house and pool. On the days we ventured out, we found everything to be conveniently located to where we were. The awesome restaurants, Cane Beach and activities were all within walking or a short drive distance away. In addition, Kent and Dawn was always available for us when the power went out (common island life occurrence) even when they were on vacation themselves. We hope to come back again next year and be able to stay Villa Dawn when there are less mosquitoes.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Dawn. The villa is everything they say it is. Spacious, well appointed and that amazing view! It was our last vacation together as a family before our oldest heads to West Point. We loved everything about the house. There is nothing like waking up to that amazing view then heading down to the beach for a swim. In the afternoons we lounged by the pool or took a nap in one of the hammocks. Cane Bay beach is an excellent location; away from the busier parts of the island but a quick drive to many of the places to see on St. Croix. We made good use of the snorkeling gear exploring the reef at the beach. We did several hikes, drove through the rain forest, visited Christiansted and Frederiksted, and hiked to the bays below Point Udall. My teenaged son loved his room in the downstairs. The kitchen has everything you would ever need and we broke in the new Weber grill. Kent and Dawn were on Island and we were able to meet them which was nice.

We had a wonderful trip to St Croix and feel very lucky to have found Villa Dawn on VRBO. It was spacious and well equipped! We enjoyed the pool, the kitchen, and the location was perfect! Walking distance to Cane Bay and snorkeling, and the restaurants at Cane Bay were a big hit. We have friends that live permanently on St Croix and they agree that the North end of the island is the best! Safe, and with lots to do in walking distance. And only a short drive (and a beautiful drive) to town when you want to explore the island.

Beautiful, nicely appointed villa on a hill overlooking Cane Bay. It has spectacular views and is walking distance to the beach, bars, and restaurants. The pictures do not do this property justice. Amazing sunsets, this property is in one of the best locations in St Croix.

The snorkeling and diving are great at the reef. Owners were very helpful with everything. This is a little piece of heaven.

The location was convenient to both Christiansted and Frederiksted, as well as to a great beach (Cane Bay Beach). The property was exactly as it is shown it the photos and descriptions on VRBO. The cleanliness and condition were excellent, and the owner was very responsive and easy to contact.

We had our grown children and their boyfriends and girlfriends with us for a family vacation. We had a wonderful time. We had not realized that there was not internal access to the lower level. It is accessed through an outside entrance. That might be important for some renters to note.

We would definitely rent this propert again, and work with this owner again.

This house is in a great location. Just a couple minutes walk from the beach up the hill you get a great view and peace and quiet among the birds chirping. Just down the hill is Cane Bay beach and 3 unique restaurants. Want to scuba, then the dive shop is right there also. House was very well equipped and the owner is pronto if you have any questions or issues.

Highly recommended.

We just returned from a one week stay at Villa Dawn. The group included me, my wife, two small children, my sister and my father. Our stay was wonderful and Villa Dawn was perfect. The owners were helpful and everything we needed (and more) was included: pool, full kitchen(s), wifi, cable, pool toys, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc. The local restaurants were wonderful and the beach was a short walk away. The view was great and we could always hear the waves in the background. I would recommend the Villa to anyone. Want to party?...Walk to "Eat at Cane Bay and walk home when done. Want to have quiet time?...stay at your own pool or find a quiet spot on the beach. Kids?....Worked out perfect. The had a crib and we could stay at the pool with the older child and listen on our monitor until he woke up. Thanks Villa Dawn! We will be back.

Property is very clean and well maintained. The views are fantastic and the location offers easy access to Cane Bay Beach. Recommend "Off the Wall", and "Eat@Cane Bay" beach bars - 5 min walk and good food/drinks. Dive shop and Virgin Kayak Tours right there as well (the night Bioluminescence Kayak tour is awesome - Bryan's foot-powered Hobie Kayaks make the trip a breeze). Also recommend Buck Island sail via Capts Heinz/Carl (father/son).

Owners Kent and Dawn are very responsive and make the rental processs easy. This property works for couple(s), families, or friends that want to lay back and relax, and/or are looking to stay active (snorkling, scuba, kayaking, etc).
